Rice recently unveiled a rebrand of their athletic logos, wordmarks, fonts, etc. It looks really clean. I'm not saying we should change anything up, but it would be nice if we could have consistency on colors, fonts, numbers, logos, etc across each sport. I've never understood why the new football uniforms have a different "SMU" lettering than the standard block "SMU" logo that is always used by the athletic department, and a weird font for the numbering that I don't think any other teams at SMU use.

Yeah, I'd want us to stick with the block "SMU" font that is most commonly used and the traditional fonts for numbers like we use on the basketball jerseys now. Just think it's weird that it's different for different sports. TCU's font for their numbers is atrocious but they at least keep it consistent across sports

I agree 100%!!!!! I get so annoyed seeing schools reveal new uniforms and having football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, track, etc. athletes all at the unveiling with a clean consistent look across the board.

I have always thought SMU didn't have the clout to do this but if Rice can do it I mean come on.

Rice stuff looks good... for Rice. Don't change our stuff just for the sake of change. However, our football costumes could use an overhaul. Maybe a hoodie jersey like basketball.

There is truth to changing just for change. It would be awful to end up with a terrible font like TCU or Kansas.

Again, I'm not saying change, just get consistency across the board with our athletic teams using the basketball template with traditional block SMU lettering and number font

I just wish we showed up as SMU everywhere instead of S. Methodist or some crap.

Guys don't change anything but change all the things that need changing to prevent change
