Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFNWhat a fool. I wonder when's the last time he left his cubicle.
Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFNI'm honestly not surprised by this. I've got both Athlons and Street and Smiths and both of them have us as the fifth team in the West, in front of only Tulane.
I've got to keep reminding myself that even though we continue to improve the whole conference seems to as well - Memphis, Tulsa, Tulane, USF, UCF, UConn and ECU should all be better this year. Navy, Houston, and Cincy always seem to overachieve and beat someone. Temple is the only school in the conference who should take a step back and even they have reasons to be optimistic. It's great for the conference as a whole, just makes it more difficult for us.
Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFNYeah but cfn has us ranked #101 in the nation as well.

Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFN
The IPF bait and switch dropped us 20 spots in national polls.
Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFNWith 7 home games, a powder puff schedule...going into year 3 of the Chad Morris era...if SMU can't win at least 7 games; we should just give it up.

Agree. This is it. Sink or swim.
Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFNWhat do you do with Ford?
Re: SMU ranked #10 in AAC by CFNHuh. Surprised to see Tulsa that low. They will be even more explosive on offense this year and have a stronger D and Special Teams than we do.
So let's do some simple math. Last year our offense was around 55th overall in the nation. Our defense was 103rd. Our special teams was 126th. I could be a little off on each of these but they're pretty close. On average, that's about 95th. A little low for where we were last year and again this is an approximation but this is why we are picked so low. We return a little over half of our starters so they moved us a few spots but really nobody thinks we will do that well this year.
