Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC teamTwo of the top five players in The American!
Shake It Off Moody
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC teamjust for fun, who will end up being on it by season's end. here's my take:
First Team: Courtland Lawler Brown Second Team: Wyatt Quinn Third Team: X Jones Gary
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC teamProche was an HM Freshman All-American last year. I expect him to make some waves this year as well.
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC teamOther possible candidates for all-conference: qb Ben Hicks, ol Jerry Saena, kr Kevin Johnson and kicker Josh Williams (he was 4 for 4 in field goals against Tulsa and 17 of 22 for the season).
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC team
Assuming Hicks is the QB for the season Peruna is my mascot!
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC team
Interesting to me that Courtland isn't number one on that list of top 30 AAC players. He's the only guy in the conference projected right now as an NFL first round draft pick (although I think Ed Oliver will end up pretty high when he comes out). BTW, CBS' 2018 mock draft has Sutton selected at #10 by Jacksonville: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/way-too-early-2018-nfl-mock-draft-its-all-about-the-franchise-quarterbacks/
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC teamOliver is projected by many to be a legitimate First Team All-American and is going to get a chance to blow up two different P5 programs, a mediocre Arizona and Texas Tech, who is going to struggle on the O-line this year. Barring injury look for him to be as high a first round pick as Courtland in 2019.
Re: CFN names two Mustangs to All-AAC team
OK - I'll bite. First team: Courtland Sutton, Jordan Wyatt, Evan Brown Second team: Justin Lawler, Chad Pursley Honorable mention: Xavier Jones, Kyran Mitchell "What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"
