JJ is now the assistant Head Coach of the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

I'm sure he will be in charge of player recruitment

Kind of wonder how Jeff feels about this.

Jones will be reunited with his former assistants, Jeff Reinebold and Dennis McKnight, in Hamilton

"In just over six seasons at the helm of SMU football, Jones rebuilt a program that had won just two games in its previous two seasons and hadn’t been to a bowl game for nearly a quarter century. During his tenure, the Mustangs won three bowl championships, sent 22 players to the NFL, and his “Run and Shoot” offence essentially rewrote the SMU record book, setting 13 of the school’s 14 all-time offensive team records. Jones was also named Conference USA Coach of the Year by The Sporting News in 2009, marking the fourth time in his career he received that honour (1999, 2006, 2007)."

Coaches often write their own bio. A bit concerning that he thinks the WAC is Conference USA.

Good, life moves on.

I can see the RnS working in Canada. Good luck to him. Now lets go get a conference title.

Jeff's son is video coordinator for the Ticats and a family friend. I'm certain there's no ill will between JR and JJ.

Really a shame he isn't with the Stampeders though.

in his bio it says during his 6 years with SMU 22 players went into the NFL.

Does anyone know how many players went into the NFL pre-tiki and post DP (1989-2007). That would cover almost 20 years.

Ironic that the "QB Guru" has never coached a QB in college who has gone on to play in a regular season NFL game.
