New Orleans Mustangs

There are four Mustangs on the NO Saints roster at the moment and 3 appear to be a lock to make the final 53-man squad: T. Morestead, S. Moore and C. Banjo. Banjo has excelled on special teams and has drawn praise from his teammates and the press. Here's a link:http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2017/08/special_teams_ace_chris_banjo.html.

Josh LeRibeus has been starting in place of Max Unger at C during the preseason but will step aside by the regular season. His place on the team is not assured, but I am optimistic given the Saints' lack of quality depth on the O-Line and Josh's versatility.

Anyone care to trade their Cowboys fandom for a real Mustangs-based team?

Traded Jerry and his drama for the Saints after my first game in the Dome 15 years ago. Never regretted it for a day!

Jerry and Romo have made it hard to be a Cowboy fan - so it isn't very hard to trade it these days.

The new crew is a bit more interesting, but its NOLA for now!

5 Ponies on the same roster! That's a first I'd bet. Now, if only E Sanders would join the fun!

Morestead is yuuugggeee! It may just be the perspective but he looks bigger than the center.

It shouldn't go unnoticed on this board that two huge, early plays in the Saints' win over the Lions this week were Morstead's punt downed at the 1, and Zach Line's perfect option pitch (!!) on fourth and one.

Can't find the pitch on any highlight. Anyone have a DVR recording and a youtube channel?

Couldn't find one either, but I sure enjoyed watching it at the time. ZL is no McIlhenny, but his timing on the play was almost as good.

Morstead landed two punts for superb defensive field position. Both led to defensive touchdowns.

Good to have six (6) Ponies in town!
