RC Cox and Raul Reyes awarded full schollies. Seems a decent move by Morris.

Good for them and I am happy for the student-athletes but can't we put those to better use??? We need wins.

Congrats. That is an accomplishment and well earned. Scholarships are precious to a college progam. Morris and his staff, after watching these kids compete against other college grade athletes must have seen something that they felt could contribute to wins.

Had classes with both of them, and they are some of the hardest workers on the field and in the classroom. Well deserved!

That was easily the highlight of an evening that otherwise showed little. The scrimmage — obviously designed so that nobody got hurt — amounted to a two-hand touch walk-through. Rate Peavey took the first snaps at quarterback, but it's hard to imagine (there was no media access) anything should be read into that. About a dozen players didn't dress, and of those who did, many starters sat out most, if not all, of the evening. Much of the evening geared around the scout team.

I think there is something to read into. "Peavey, you are going to start the scrimmage because Ben won the starting job and we have special packages for DJ"

I'd say that both of them, and especially Cox who has lettered twice, have earned it.
Congrats to them.

Who are we going to recruit between now and Saturday?

Exactly! I don't see too many 4 and 5 * players waiting for a scholarship offer in late August.
