Chad grew up around here. I think he watched SMU football growing up. His Dad was a fireman in Richardson , I remember. Could be wrong.

SMU, really needs to treat him right. Money, yes but how about a thank you, pat on the back, a big smile for someone that is doing a hard job and doing it right. No shortcuts like prison players, or druggie players, just teaching young men to be real, honest, hard working , honorable representatives of SMU.

After being around the coaching staff, they are a continuation of this wholesome, truthful approach. And one more thing. DRIVEN and FOCUSED.

I agree, we need to treat him right. He uses "We" usually when he talks about the team, but "Them" when he talks about the school. When he talks about building the culture, he is talking about building a football culture at the school with alumni, students, and Dallas residents as much as he is about the team.

Anyone else get the sense that his message after the SFA game about people supporting his team had a little more intensity behind it than standard "we hope people come out" talk?

Just past the 21 minute mark he makes his plea and I agree. This could be a really special season. One game at a time and let's see if more people get interested

At this time I have not had any of the cool aid. But I know people that are closer to this team and they are weird/pumped up. Like they know we are not there yet but what they see is SO much better than SMU has had is decades.

If you come watch, you will be pleased.
