In his UNT post-game press conference Coach Chad Morris mentioned SMU defensive line commit Leonard Parks of Texas High that suddenly passed away recently.
In case anyone would like to help this young man's family here is his GoFundMe page:
Just to be clear Coach Morris did not mention Leonard's Go Fund Me Page:https://www.gofundme.com/leonard-parks-6-memorial-fundhttps://sportsday.dallasnews.com/colleg ... asses-away

So coach is advocating breaking NCAA rules? Yes it's dumb but still illegal to help his family.

How did Morris break any rules? He's not advocating the GoFundMe, Special Delivery is.

Correct. Coach did not mention anything about financial help, only that he had attended a viewing on Friday.

I doubt its against the rules which refer to a "prospective student athlete" since Parks is deceased

Passing information on would be a hard-sell case for the NCAA, but then again...
Chad did the right thing. Sometimes that gets you into trouble. I'd rather have a coach that does what Morris did in this circumstance than a coach that is too afraid to get out of the office...or even reluctant to do so.
Praying for the young man's family.

My only question would be if there was a younger brother or relative involved. But nothing was done wrong here.
