With apologies to Mrydel.
We had 19 first downs and 463 yards total offence against one of the best defences in the nation.

We have improved. Like the espnu announcer said....Morris inherited the WORST team when he took over. I can be critical, too, but we've all seen MUCH worse.

So now we're looking at a 7 year rebuild?

Nope we're in year 2.5 of a 4 year rebuild. Get 7 wins and a bowl game and we keep moving forward.

This is going to be a 10 year rebuild, if it even happens. If SMU was a stock, I'd have dumped it years ago.

We are right on schedule-this game means jack as we were never expected to come close to beating TCU in Ft. Worth. I'm sorry some of you had your hopes and dreams of a 9 win season busted but this year is about getting to 6 or 7 wins and a bowl. In case most of you missed it SMU was generally picked 5th in our DIVISION. Now our defensive guru who thought we had a "Dominant Defense" predicted 9 or 10 wins-but he's never been right about anything

Take away four or five plays we would have been in the game to the end. TCU was rated 20th in the country. We all know there are still some weak spots. They caught up with us today. I still think we can go to a bowl game and we haven't done that in a few years. I would love to beat someone we aren't suppose to. But, realistically, we are about where we expected to be. BTW, it looks like UNT played pretty well today against Iowa. That should make us feel better about the way our team has progressed.

- Scored 36 against the toughest D we will face all season
- Trey Quinn continues to show well
- Our first 15-20 scripted plays on offense were well thought out and executed
- TCU fans are just as afraid of and unwilling to put up with the heat as SMU fans
