Until the punt block.
We are not good enough to read and believe the paper. Did not see energy . We could have slapped these guys today with a focussed effort.
Glad we won, we are young, but we HAVE TO play with energy and passion.
Enough griping. Happy to win and i hope this serves as a lesson.

two good CBs and SMU wins by 40. A lot of kids played well today-but the secondary is young and inexperienced especially the CBs. I really don't think effort was that bad-certainly not the front 7 of our Defense. I think we've got BIG PROBLEMS at CB-when the Defense can't get off the field its hurts the Offense

We believed the papers and got in trouble from weak team.
After punt, we pumped up and cb' s did not get burned.
Wr are better but cant afford lax attitude.
Appreciate your opinion.

Missed getting pressure for almost 3 quarters.
That really helps dbs.
Quite reading the paper of how rasy this game is going to be.

Missed getting pressure on most plays because when the corners play 12 yards off the line, quick passes eliminate the DL.
Once the team got some confidence, the corners played closer and it gave the DL time to get a pass rush going.

pretty plain vanilla game plan and tough for the team to draw energy from a pretty lethargic crowd (although it sounded like people were engaged in that 4th quarter). I think Houston sees a more open playbook similar to the 1st half at TCU. Still waiting for former QB Kemon to throw a pass. This offense has a lot of weapons and we are going to need to win a track meet to beat the Coogs.
