Kind of surprised this hasn't been hit more on this board, but the potential of 5-6 openings in the SEC is going to have massive ramifications downstream on coaches and schools. We will almost certainly be affected if everything holds.

Ha! You guys just now noticing this? There are going to be too many great job openings for Morris not to have multiple options to leave for great jobs. Nebraska and I assume UCLA too. Oregon St has an interim Coach. Texas Tech is in play. What's going to happen with Todd Graham at Arizona St. Morris is the Top paid G5 Coach for a reason.

So who do we get when chad leaves?

Morris isn't going to just jump to a P5 for the sake of going to the P5. He is getting paid enough. Even Frost, the talk is that if the "right" opening doesn't come knocking, he will stick around one more year because of what he has coming back. If he leaves for Ole Miss, Tech, or Oregon State, our prospects are even worse than we thought.

He's only getting paid a little over 2 Million. New P5 offers at an average P5 school start at about 3.2-3.5 million

Houston Nutt has expressed interest in each and every opening

And I would estimate 3 out of every 5 callers to the local sports talk station say they would love to have Nutt back at UA.

Nebraska is where all coaches would go to die at this point. That is not a great job.

I would say Arkansas is the best fit for chad if he is ready to jump. Best use of his Texas HS Rolodex.

He'll get a raise from us easy, so the point of comparison is X vs 2.5 million. Some p5 jobs will be not much of a jump over that.

Of course if Aggie opens he gone.

Again, UA is not just a possible coaching change. Just as many are calling for a new AD. So if they need to spend time getting a new AD, which would be done before a new coach, Chad may already be gone before UA is ready to hire.
