As a 27 year ALUM of SMU, I continue to grow more and more embarrassed at our showing to support this team --- Friday night was a debacle of enormous proportions.

Desperately seeking your help in an effort to BRING A REASONABLE CROWD TO FORD THIS SATURDAY (not in any particular order):

1) Immediately offer by 1 get 3 free tickets.
2) Immediately offer by 2 get a FREE ticket to SMU BB regular season game
3) Offer 1/2 price concessions (including Beer)
4) Force ALL Fraternities/Sororities to cancel/postpone all events Saturday night.
5) Offer all students $100 credit on their student account with proof of attendance/scan at gate
6) Deliver free tickets to ALL surrounding Dallas YMCAs starting Wednesday

PLEASE WAKE UP AND UNDERSTAND WE HAVE A DIASTER GETTING WORSE WHEN IT COMES TO ATTENDANCE --- WE HAVE 2 MORE SHOTS AT TRYING TO GET SOMEONE TO SAMPLE OUR PRODUCT.

COACHES AND TEAM HAVE DONE THEIR JOB --- NOW ITS YOUR TURN!!!!

Wait- Please list all Fraternities/Sororities planning events Saturday Night.

Student attendance is always biggest for homecoming, until King/Queen is announced.

We will have a nice crowd Saturday of students and alumni.
Up to the team to give everyone a reason to stick around past halftime.... or at least a reason not to think we're the same old SMU.

Let student body know in advance that HC Queen and King will be announced at end of the FIRST Quarter and not at the half. Be sure to get in your seats early!

At end of First quarter, announce that the HC Queen and King will be announced at end of the 3rd Quarter instead.

$2 Beers, $2 Hot Dogs (works for most Minor League BBall teams).

Everyone who is still around for the end of the game gets a free Courtland Sutton Bobblehead.

Rent the TCU Showgirls for a game. I hear they are quite affordable.

Actually, spreading out the homecoming court announcement is kinda genius.
Announce spirit point winner and king and halftime. Queen after third quarter.

All of these are good ideas. Do anything we/you can!!!! Be there and be loud. This is set up so perfectly that if we don't get a least 20K true butts in the seats it will be a slap in the face to every kid playing out there. I was part of two 1-11 seasons and in 2007 when we played UCF at home, during Thanksgiving week, we had maybe 400 people (no exaggeration). We deserved that though. This team doesn't deserve that. I'll be there with the Mrs. and trying to convince my family to drive up from Austin. I wonder if having a big musical act perform after the game would draw any additional attendance?

Correct me if I am wrong. Has our Athletic Department had ANY marketing plan for game attendance the entire season? I don't remember any.

I've offered them ideas in the past that would have "guaranteed" thousands more in attendance every game, and have been ignored!

At least SMU just sent the email blast about the game saturday. Zero mention that UCF is ranked though...so the casual fan won't give a damn about UCF

The Dallas County Jail has an average population of 6,500 inmates (can hold up to 7,100) and @ 900 Staff. I am sure they would be more than excited to have a field trip to Ford. Dye the orange jumpsuits Red.
