Navy is not as good this year, but it's in Annapolis on Veterans day. Will they give SMU their annual thrashing.....what say you?

I noticed the line is not set yet. I am wondering if Abey is under concussion protocol. If so we will have a chance to make a back up QB a Heisman candidate.

Unfortunately, we have a proven track record of that.

Wouldn't this be a good time for a panic thread? Don't make us beg.

My concern is that this team blew it's load on UCF and since that game was so high visibility (for Chad), he really challenged the team to play all out which they did (except a couple of times here and there). I think that if this team stays focused (as does Chad), we can definitely beat Navy. Then, Memphis becomes the "game of the season". But I'm very doubtful. I think he's gone and the team is happy with being bowl eligible. They might put up a good fight for a bit, but I think they'll fold (not a knock on the kids at all, more the coaches).

I am a bit concerned we shot our wad against Central Florida as well and following with a road game is potentially troublesome.
I am not ready to name a score quite yet, but I do think we will hang with Navy. At some point I think the defense will have a couple of bad series at the same time the offense stumbles a bit and the game gets out of hand.

The only thing missing from these two post, is the fear that we will have erectile dysfunction. Now that I think about it, our offense only scored 17 points last Saturday.

I think we win. Only WE can beat us against this team. We are better than they.

Van needs to bring these guys into town this week to run the option against our defense...

I was worried about Ojai. For a while some of his posts were not panicked. Glad to have him back. I am superstitious like that.

I watched Navy v. Temple game the other night to see how Navy looked.....they are beatable for sure. Key to the game, as is always the case with option teams, is to get multi-score lead early and take them out of their game. If we can come out and play with the intensity we had against UCF we win....will be tough at their place on Veteran's day. My prediction:
SMU-38
Navy-34

It's also Navy senior day. Navy played last Thursday, so they have two extra days to rest, heal and prepare. I wish we could get these guys on future schedules, in September or October.

Current Navy win streak is 7 versus SMU (2002-2016). First matchup in 1930. Navy leads series 11-7.
