What staff is left here? And who realistically has a shot of staying with the new staff?

just the Offensive Staff I've heard. Chad is hoping to nail down Brent Venables who I'm sure will have the right to approve defensive coaches

Pity Chad couldn't get a coach of Venables caliber to come to SMU.

Brent Venables salary at Clemson is 1.7 Million which is almost as large as Chad Morris' salary at SMU

Well, Assistant coach Justin Stepp will be coaching the game in Frisco despite having poached our recruits this weekend for Arkansas.

I can't imagine Morris & Stepp would not make an effort to have Quinn play his senior season at Arkansas as a grad transfer, assuming he is on track to graduate

Guess there's no such thing as tampering when coaches are cross pollinating

Why wouldn't you poach your own recruits? And why in the world would they stay at SMU when Chad offers them at Arkansas. That would be the easiest decision of their lives

Agree if it's only about football. Only reason someone chooses SMU over an Arkansas offer would be because they want to come to SMU for other reasons...and that would really be a first!

For some players, football is their top priority and Arkansas "would be the easiest decision...
For some players, very good academics & football are important. SMU, in that situation, could be the correct decision over Arkansas.

At Arkansas, in addition to Morris, Traylor will be reunited with Justin Stepp (wide receivers), Dustin Fry (offensive line), Joe Craddock (QB-OC), Randy Ross (Director of Football Operations) and Mark Smith (recruiting coordinator). It appears Barry Lunney Jr. (tight ends) will be held over from the previous staff. Morris has yet to officially announce any hirings, but the staff is already on the road recruiting for the Hogs.
