Interesting to note that the previous staff didn't really try to recruit him...must have just assumed he would have no interest with Sutton, Proche and Quinn already here. Hope he becomes a playmaker for us right away.

I think his handlers at his high school turned SMU away and said he wasn't interested. They filtered colleges for him.

listen to his comments at about the 1:00 mark; says he was interested in SMU but sounds like he never got an offer because our staff didn't think he was interested. Maybe that's because they talked to his "handlers" and not to him?
