From A UNT’er: Don’t Fret SMU & Here’s Why...

My Junior year at (then) NTSU we opened our season with a 67 to 7 crushing loss to an average Oklahoma State Cowboys team. In that same season we finally meshed some good talent & would beat UH 28 to 0 & then with our 4’th string QB beat what would be a 6 & 5 Tennessee Volunteers 21 To 14 (still our best national win to date IMHO).
ΓÇóSMU brought an impressive number of fans with many scattered out in the stadium who were all very classy & friendly. Y’all would have brought even more had not the game been televised locally & then we would have had Apogee’s first SRO crowd in history.
As most on this message board know:
Y’all recruit well every season, but with so many newcomers & transfers at Fall camp they merely need more game minutes to mesh & me’thinks they will do just that—just glad it wasn’t last night!
ΓÇó TCU will come into Ford overconfident, but they need to hope the Mustangs don’t come together on both sides of the line of scrimmage this Friday.
ΓÇó DO US ALL A FAVOR & BEAT THE HORNED FROGS!
Have a great season & until next time...
