Apparently Patterson and Dykes get along and genuinely like each other. Perhaps Gary will be nice enough to put in the 2nd and 3rd stringers and help us out letting SMU score some points late in the 4th that could destroy the cover.

In other words - perhaps Gary will not be an ahole and run up the score on his buddy.

All Track stars. This is the game that we are going to find out if our front 7 can defend in space on a spread field-already seen that the secondary has trouble getting off the field in coverage. I wouldn't read too much yet into the run defense which wasn't bad. It wasn't bad last year either when we held NTSU to 69 yards rushing despite NTSU having their all-time leading rusher Jefferey Wilson. This is the test. TCU has the best "athletes" we will face this year and that includes Michigan

Case in point. It could have been much worse had the starters not been pulled for UNT.

Rain would only slow them down at TCU (do they still have grass?). Our turf and drainage are top notch. The only hope is lightning.

Love it, PonyTime. I bet they don’t take you up on your bet. Everyone talks a big game until challenged.

Only hopes in keeping it closer:
* TCU is prepping for OSU, so they will run everything as vanilla as they did against Southern.
* OUr run D continues to show up and their young QB struggles in the rain.

don't forget:
* They keep forgetting which endzone is theirs and we get a bunch of safeties/fumble recoveries.
