We are sure hoping for a 2:30 Kickoff---I guess it will be next Monday or so before we find out---Any ideas?

You will not get any leaked information because the decision will not be made until next Monday.

Love the fact that game times for SMU Football are a much more closely held secret than private conversations in the Oval Office between the president and his cabinet.
(and yes - I do realize that the conference will decide on Monday - but that does not mean that the conference doesn't have it all mapped out on a white board right now on their wall in Providence, RI)

the Conference doesn't make the decisions-the affiliated networks are given priority to chose the best matchups to televise based on how much each network pays for the TV rights. They wait to see who wins and who loses next week. There is no basis for a conference to want to delay setting game times-the networks have every reason to pick the games which will result in the highest TV ratings

Exactly and that is the way it should be in order to see the best match ups at the best times.
But the conspiracy theorist in me also think the airlines are involved since you get lower rates if purchasing 14 days in advance.

In that case, I suggest that SMU-LSU Fan wear a wire and corner key CBS Sports or ESPN executives at a bar to get the inside info.

Cincy has quickly gone from a "a possible win/I like our chances" to "wow, they are one of the top teams in the conference and that's going to be a very tough one to pull off".
HAVE to beat Tulane (then you'd think we'd like our chances against Tulsa and UConn which gets you to 5 wins, then you have to pick up a win somewhere either from Memphis, Houston, or Cincy which will be very hard to do ... I hope it's Houston because, well, eff Houston).

I don't think you're supposed to say "Oval Office", "president" or "cabinet".

I'd call for a special investigation.
We have rights and fans to know when the games are.

I am of course talking about Dr. Turner's office and his Cabinet of trustees.

AAC waits until ESPN has made its decision on other major conferences.
I think everyone waits until CBS selects the 2:30 game from the SEC.
Then ESPN and Fox do their draft of Big12 and Big10 games, then they select the late nigh PAC game.
then ESPN and CBScollege will do the draft of the AAC games, but i think CBScollege gets the Navy game no matter what unless espn picks it first or something. Navy is usually a 2:30 game for that channel.
