SMU is 2-0 now wearing those. I guess the word is that we will not wear them again until the Houston game. The players love the Dallas slant and loyalty, sharp look.

SMU has changed their look several times over the last 100 years. Maybe we finally found something to adopt going forward.

Sonny gets it! Best marketing strategy since Russ Potts' Mustang Mania campaign. Now if we only figure out a way to fill Ford Stadium with SMU fans...

I like them more each time I see them. And if the kids watching the games on TV and watching ESPN are constantly reminded that SMU=Dallas, then that is a very good thing. But we do need "SMU" somewhere on the uni don't we?

They are difference makers in branding.

Put SMU on the front top thigh of pants. Leave jerseys alone.

I don’t know, but we had a party at the house last night. Lots of Longhorns and other general football fans. The Dallas branding thing is working. It was a huge topic of conversation with universal approval.

One guy in his mid 20’s suggested we go with a Dallas Pegasus helmet for a game. Cool that people were talking and thinking about it.

Most importantly it has national guys talking. During the halftime of our game they immediately spent a couple of minutes talking about our game and showing highlights rather than just jumping to more important games. Matt Leinart and Urban Meyer talked about the “Dallas” unis and how great of a job Sonny is doing. Leinart also mentioned how these two school really don’t like each other and this is our biggest game of the year.

Also, on ESPN Gameday Chris Fowler pick SMU over TCU as his upset of the week. Herbstreit chimed in saying he can’t wait to watch this game. Then Flower said to Herbie, “I know you’ll be texting me the whole game.”

Point is we are at in minds of the national guys. Our offense is a blast to watch and our defense is sneaky good. Sonny is proving it is all about getting the right guy to lead the program. Just like LB did with hoops.
