USF thinks they found their quarterback 2 weeks ago, while enjoying an open date to prepare for SMU. Also, another road afternoon game, where it should be very hot and muggy. We now have a bullseye on our back, is this a major trap game?

Would not call this a trap game. Yes, USF got trucked by Wisconsin but so did a pretty good Michigan team. They were competitive at Ga Tech and hammered their FCS opponent. Would not be surprised to see USF a slight favorite on their home field. This will be a tough road game as they all are.

I'll be shocked if we are not favored by some points. We have beat the spread all 4 games, so bettors beware of betting agin' us.

I'm not saying USF is awful but I'm not saying they're not either.

Hell yes it's a possible trap game.

You're USF and you blanked the bed up until now. You know what you need to get back on track? A win against a (almost) ranked conference opponent. A win against us and their season turns around. And say what you want about them, they have some talent.

USF has a ton of great athletes. It will be interesting, to see how they come out mentally, after this open date.

We better play hard, and focused, or this game could be dangerous.

Last time I looked the spread is 7.5 in our favor. I think USF finally figured out how to play in their 3rd game. This is going to be a tight one and I'll leave my prediction as is.

Their offense is struggling a bit. On the other side, the defense caused 8 turnovers in their last game, and they have had a bye to prep for us.

I expect they will install some wrinkles that cause us problems early, then we adapt and play better on both sides of the ball.

USF is good enough to beat us if we commit turnovers and penalties. Play a sloppy game. If everything goes perfectly, then sure, this is a 10-14 point win. But I don't think it happens. SMU gets out of Tampa with a 4 point win in a sloppy game, 38-34.

For the record, that is 6 TDs, 5 missed EPs and one two point conversion .

Okay given that we know our kickers and snappers blow. Should SD just always go for 2? Like some say, 50% yields same result and I think it would really help us with red zone offense like plays.
