I really do think they should drop down to FCS and they would probably like to be in the Colonial with Villanova but that group already has 12 teams so it would be an odd fit. I just think their struggles will continue going FBS independent along with Notre Dame, BYU, Army, Liberty & N.M. State but they could probably schedule UMass every year and develop a nice rivalry with them. They could try to get games with Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Temple, Maryland, BC, etc...to keep it "local" but scheduling would be tough. I suppose they could travel into the Southeast and play SEC teams when they schedule their late season "cupcake" games. It will be interesting to see which direction they will go but I do think rejoining the Big East will do wonders for their hoops program.
