That Cowboys game was the single biggest waste of three hours in my life.

It reminded why I was taking a break from the NFL for a couple of years: uneven, over-litigious officiating. It sucks and really detracts from the game. You spend 50% sitting through commercials and 30% watching referees sidebar or stare at a tablet.

Gah.

How I watch football on TV

1. Record game
2. Wait 30 minutes
3. Start watching
4. Fast forward through the commercials and delays
5. Once caught up, pause for 30 minutes
6. Get stuff done around the house.
7. Go back to Step 3
8. Repeat as necessary

Love this. Bingo.
Best thing is just never turn it (cowboy game) on. and the bonus, you never have to see Jerry and Stephen sitting in their box acting like they have actually had a relevant team since Jimmy Johnson left back in the post WWII days But in all fairness, it's 100 times better than snoozeball (baseball), and 10,000,000 times better than the third world game of soccer.

The only sports I care about and will watch are SMU football, SMU men’s basketball. I will either go to or watch every one of those with intense interest and passion. I will watch about 5 Mavs games a year, which I expect will increase with Luka. Same for the Rangers, about 5 games. I watch the Cowboys occasionally — only because my son is a huge fan — but otherwise no interest in the NFL. I will go to a Highland Park football playoff game if the mood strikes me. Stars maybe if a playoff game.

Don’t care about any other teams. At all. Life’s too short. Too much to do.

I mostly watch my beloved Wildcats, SMU, and UNLV (local team) for college football and basketball. Of course, we LOVE the Vegas Golden Knights in hockey but I don't watch every game. I am not an NFL fan which hasn't been an issue until now, but next year we are getting the Raiders. I am ambivalent. I live only a few minutes from the practice facility they are building and it seems like it will be hard to ignore. We'll see.
