Mustangs will need to take care of business Saturday night, but Tulsa is

going to play their butts off, hopefully we will be 6 and 0 going into the bye week.

We have found a way to lose in ignoble fashion far too many times to Tulsa. The reason is Tulsa plays us hard and close.

I do hope we have a real home field advantage agaisnt Tulsa. A good crowd and a prepared team makes for a great atmosphere. And impoves our chances.

Tulsa may be looking at a 7 game losing streak kicked off by SMU.

I hate the overconfidence. I know I was jittery about USF but Tulsa has shown to hold big programs to fairly low scores and didn't lose by large margins. I think the only way this becomes a blow out is if we are able to assert ourselves in the 1st quarter. Otherwise, I think it will be a grind.

I think tu will do everything they can to limit our big plays, like dropping back 8 in coverage similar to what texas state did (but with overall better athletes to carry it off). Getting the running game going to force them to bring more into the box will be important early.

Sonny talked about how big Tulsa is. They return the same two running backs, that plowed over us last year and made a huge upgrade at quarterback, with the Baylor transfer that sat out last season

They manhandled us last year. Our guys know they in in for a struggle Saturday. Just have to hope as Chad said "speed kills and if you don't have enough of it, you just end up chasing it". Hope to see Tulsa's guys chasing our guys all night Saturday.

It's Tulsa's first conference game and they'll be fired up. There's a long history in this series of the underdog playing up (or the inverse). Last three games decided by a total of 10 points.

Was it the Tulsa game last year where Hicks wildly over threw a wide open receiver which would have won the game had he connected?

It was more like we didn't show up because we didn't want to be bowl eligible and have to go somewhere like Frisco again. Especially Hicks.

This is not last year’s team.
