UT meltdown

Postby soccermom » Sat Oct 12, 2019 9:09 am

I am having a good laugh listening to how hurt the crybabies are about the horns down symbol. Pathetic.

"Nothing goes better together in Oklahoma than tornadoes, pork rinds and Horns Down," he told ESPN that afternoon. "It's an Oklahoma thing. It's something that brings us together. Whether you're a Sooner or a Cowpoke, we can all agree that Texas sucks. It's a universal sign of love for Okies."

The more they whine about it the bigger it will get. Plus, putting on my lawyer hat for the moment, how do you define "down?" If a Sooner band member does hook em horn straight up and slowly moves his hand down, how many degrees can he go before the they get assessed a penalty? Is 90 degrees allowed? Is 91 degrees unsportsmanlike?

Lol.
Tom Herman talking about how disrespectful that sign is. That’s the pot calling the kettle black! Horns down is a lot better than the sign I remember seeing given them.

A whole lot better than the signs we used to give when it was actually a rivalry!

How do you know UT still controls the Big<12?

You can get a penalty for giving the "down horns" sign...

Just curious, will Herman advocate any penalties for inappropriate use of urinals.

Sign of the times, we need safe spaces that can't cause any perceived offence.

Losers in rivalry games are almost always but t hurt but at least OU's winning wasn't an upset. Meanwhile, in Athens...Georgia is big time ticked off because South Carolina players took pieces of the famous hedges and carried them around in their mouths for photo ops. Not exactly like they destroyed the hedges as reports out of Georgia would have you believe.

The Whorns down has been around for ever. What is the big deal all of a sudden? And of course its disrespectful. That's the idea. you know free speech stuff. OU doesn't respect the Whorns.

Personaly, I wish UT would change to a "Book 'em Whorns' sign.

Supposedly a few weeks back the OU cheer squads (cheerleaders, Pom, and ruf nex) were told that they were no longer allowed to do the horns down on the sidelines by higher ups. Also were told to scrub fb,twitter, insta and remove old pictures of the horns down if they were on social media.
This is from OU message boards and podcasts
