I want Texas in the Cotton Bowl

The Ponies haven't played UT in many years. I would like nothing more than to win out and play Texas in the Cotton Bowl.

I'm sure at some point we played them in the Cotton Bowl. Anyone know when?

Yeah, me too. I’ve already told the wife we’re cutting our New Year ski trip short to flying back if we get this one!

The last Cotton Bowl matchup between SMU and the 'Horns was 10-22-1977, a 30-14 loss.

But hey, we slaughtered TCU in the opener that year at Amon G. :lol:

Beat the Cougs in the Dome that year, too. Otherwise, very much still a rebuilding year under Ron.

I don’t think there’s a bowl game IN the Cotton Bowl.
The Cotton Bowl Classic is at AT&T and the First Responder Bowl moved from the real Cotton Bowl to Ford Stadium now.
