Just remember one word - parity.
There are a small set of very good teams in college football. Bama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, LSU. Penn State and Wisconsin might be knocking on that door. Outside of that, the difference between the best teams and the middle of the pack is small enough that some turnovers, penalties, or bad weather become equalizers really quick. Hell, how in the world did USF beat BYU?
Ark St, UNT, TCU were solid wins, but it is becoming apparent that none of those teams are world beaters in their conferences. We have a really solid football team. If we go 6-2 in conference, we will win the West. Take it one game at a time, know that each game is going to be close, and enjoy the ride. We will have a top 20 ranking this week. Soak it in while it lasts, and realize that the moment we lose we are getting kicked out. But 6-2 gets us in that conference championship game.
