ESPN names Sonny Dykes (mid-season) Coach of Year

In today's mid-season review on ESPN College Football, the two panelists were asked to name their Coach of the Year (so far). David Pollack picked Herm Edwards of Arizona State.
Todd McShay selected Sonny Dykes, saying "what they (SMU) have gone through, I mean, you're talking about the Pony Express going back to 1982 since they were 6-0 at this point in the season...
"Eric Dickerson, Craig James, it's a whole different deal now but SMU is playing with a lot of confidence and Sonny Dykes owes the previous regime, they had a lot of talent when they took over this program."
