Nothing official yet from SMU, but apparently they set a date. https://fbschedules.com/tcu-adds-prairi ... -schedule/

I believe the TCU game 2020 was always on the books, it's after that we don't have them scheduled.

Surely we aren't just doing this a game by game renewal right? Unless they know something about us going Big12 you would think Hart would at the minimum get 4 games locked.

It came out after the TCU game that this series is on the books for multiple years now with no gap.

I feel like they now wish they hadn’t renewed it. As a big 12 team, they are probably pretty worried about possibly getting by beat by an AAC team Regularly

Doubt they are overly concerned, if at all concerned. We broke a 7 game losing streak and TCU still has a huge P5 financial advantage over us. We can only hope to make this a more competitive series and hope it is not because TCU becomes one of the doormats of the Big XII, but instead because SMU becomes one of the premier programs in the AAC.

Patterson mentioned it, but there's been no announcement from SMU.

That’s fantastic. As much as hate TCU, they are like brothers

Game won't draw any national attention unless we are both competing for conference championships. I'd like it to become what it was in the old days...before my time and back to when both schools were competing for national championships

We have to be in the Big 12 then. They will never give the AAC the credit it needs. We could have 4 top 25 teams and it wouldn't matter.

And it comes too early in the season for that competition to have begun... I'm happy to see it renewed though. I feel like this is a win for both programs.
