Gameday or AAC Championship, and other picks

So, now that we've won and can enjoy the majesty that is college football this Saturday with an ACTUAL DOG IN THE NATIONAL FIGHT lets talk about who we want to win.

Do you want College Gameday or an AAC West Championship?

Yes, we all want to go to Gameday in Memphis (and possibly Navy). But we could use a little breathing room in the AAC West race. So, do you want Memphis and Navy to win, or Tulsa and Tulane? I say T&T, because that would put us two games up in the conference and allow us to breathe, and I'm still not convinced we are good enough to go undefeated.

Some potential upsets over this weekend that would help us move up:

#3 Ohio State vs. #13 Wisconsin: OSU is favored. If they win, here's hoping they crush'em.
#5 Oklahoma at KSU. Obviously it's OU, but KSU can be sneaky.
#9 Auburn at #2 LSU. Somebody has to lose, so it's all good.
#6 Penn State at Michigan State. PSU has the advantage but MSU could pull this out.
#15 UT at TCU. TCU's actually favored in this game.
Maryland at #17 Minnesota. Would look great for us if Maryland won this game.
Arkansas at #1 Alabama. Uh, no
BC at #4 Clemson. Uhhhhhhh, n--- well, stranger things have happened.
#8 ND at #19 Michigan. I actually want Michigan to win this, because they will drop another game. ND probably won't.
Cal at #12 Utah. Cal could actually win this, even if it's a long shot.
Wazzou at #11 Oregon. Can't stand Leach, but he's at least interesting. Love to see him win here.

Personally, I want Tulsa and TCU to win the most this weekend. Especially TCU. And if Cal and Wazzou could win that would also help us move up. I don't expect any of them to though.

IMO it would be better if memphis beat tulsa but tulsa just physically tore them apart. Don't want to go to memphis just after they lose another game. think they will feel their backs are against the wall and our game will be a must win.

Tulane is generating a lot of buzz here in NOLA. Because of Tulane's success, people have taken more notice of the AAC and SMU. Folks talk about Tulane vs SMU as possibly being one of the biggest games on the year for the AAC (remember, this is LSU country so most are lclueless about the AAC and tend to have more euphoric thoughts about it). Tulane win helps our expose at least in this part of the country.

Tulsa. Memphis has been strong at home and hasn't had much of a challange on the road. Tulsa could give them fits if Tulsa ahsn't given up on its season.

TCU for sure.

I think if Memphis beats Tulsa, and Gameday comes to Memphis (which after Christmas Fowler’s tweet, looks like will happen) Memphis will be way more fired up than if they have two conference losses and no gameday at home. Would it be a better win for SMU to win in front of Gameday against a ranked Memphis? Yes, but I just want the win.

Golden Showers for the win. GameDay means almost nothing for us if it is on the road. GameDay for Tulane, hopefully; we'll need anything we can to build interest in the after-Thanksgiving game.

Memphis will win. Tulsa isnt good. We tied them in 1Q and then beat them in OT. I just hope it's a close game.

I vote for breathing room.

Can't believe I'm actually going to be rooting for TCU - and again when they play what should still be an undefeated Baylor team in 2 weeks.
