We get the biggest marque spot on Satuday football against Memphis. Its been over a generation since this has happen.
How does it help with recruiting?
How does our staff use it to increase recruiting?
Does the school pull a Pye and kill our positive coverage?
Other thoughts?

Start by sending them videos about smu they can edit/use:
Blvd
IPC
Campus
Other sports facilities- tennis, nat, moody
Academics
Dallas as a city and partner w smu
A Student athlete success / feel good story
Stories that show we r real and here now and future vs what happened 30 yrs ago and interviews w some of the fans who have been waiting
Otherswise; they"ll dust off 10 hrs of dp history
Got to make it easy for them

I would try to show an interview with Kelvin Beachum. Everything he does is inspiring.

Also think we can embrace the past, but call it fir what it is...for us and others.
We had infractions similar to others in that era and more recently who had infractions ,some.to the same level, we have moved on

They’ll highlight “transfer U”, Shane will get a close up, Roberson, maybe some of the D guys...
Obviously the DP, embrace and move on!
Win, look good doing it, and we’ll knock recruiting out of the park.
The only negative would be if we pull the typical SMU of the last 30 yrs and [deleted] the bed...
Don’t [deleted] the bed!!!

SD’s traditional recruiting of HS talent has been poor to atrocious so far.
Here’s hoping some highly recruited Texas kids at major programs who want to return home see us on prime time and decide to use the transfer portal.

Years ago I stated that we would know we had recovered when the media stopped talking about the DP. I was wrong. Our recovery has only bolstered the talk. So I say embrace it. People love a redemption story so let’s give them one. I now say when they stop talking about it we will no longer be relevant.
Like the Phoenix we have risen from the ashes but let’s not forget the place from which we came and relish our place in history as the only team to come back from the dead.

Haha. I can admit I never cheated but the evidence is pretty clear that SMU did. And so did Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, Arkansas, Texas A&M, and Rice had sugar daddies down to the 3rd team.

You're preaching to the choir brother I've already embraced it 10 years ago that's why I joined the club
