It's an old brothel that still has the rooms upstairs. Total dive bar, an incredible juke box, and it's total Memphis. A little out of the way from Beale St., but still downtown. Your phone will get you there just fine.

Go if you have the chance.

Great spot. Looks a little bit worse for wear, but don't let it scare you off. Not all that far from the core of downtown... would be very walkable if it was warmer. The bar at the new hotel in the old Central Station is supposed to be pretty good, as well. It's directly across the street from Ernestine & Hazels.
