First time I've ever seen a false start penalty go to review???
Dykes was all over the refs after the call, but I didn't have a clue as to why? Anyone with insight?

I believe that ECU had 12 men on the field and we had a quick snap to catch them. But if we moved early, our penalty would be prior to the snap. That is the best I could come up with.

Yes, Dykes was furiously pointing at the 12th man who he thought didn't get off the field in time. But apparently the officials determined he made it.

I do not think the 12th man mattered. We committed a dead ball foul. Had we not jumped early they would have been penalized.

This is correct. Our penalty trumped their's even with 12 men on the field; refs should not have reviewed it.
