Lived there for 24 years...Just a few of the "other" things to do (instead of the theme parks):

-40 miles from the best fresh seafood you will put in your mouth,,,Dixie Crossroads in Titusville

=Kennedy Space Center, also in Titusville

-While your at it, drive the Black Point Wildlife Drive on Merritt Island...tidal flats and Florida panthers if you are fortunate to see them. The time of the Bowl will still have some of the transient birds coming through.

-If you're in Downtown Orlando, Church Street and Lake Eola are great places to stroll...

Then there is the Big Black Rat, Universal, Sea World, etc...rather than just the theme parks, if you want to spend a day, head over to Ybor City in Tampa for some of the best Cuban food you will eat, and watch a cigar being rolled at one of the cigar shops. Well worth it and no lines...
