With Gipson leaving is Green the next man up?

Dykes confirmed that Derek Green is the back up.

Ramon Flanigan still has 2 1/2 years of eligibility left.

To take that a step farther, since this year does not count against anyone's eligibility, in theory we could put Lance, Craig and Eric in the backfield...

Sonny Dykes confirmed in his Monday media session that backup quarterback Terrance Gipson has entered the transfer portal. Dykes said he thought Gipson had been considering the move "for a while" and that he and SMU football would do what they can to help Gipson find a new school where he can "have some success, get a degree and have a good life."

Dykes added that Derek Green is now Shane Buechele's backup.
