A friend of mine's son played at SMU under Bennett. He started quite a few games his Junior year. He decided to stop playing so that he could concentrate on school as he was going to grad school. He went to tell the coach and thank him for the opportunity to play for him. PB called him a "quitter" and a "P _ _ _ y" and told him to get out of his office. Either PB was having a bad day, or he is a complete arse. I have my opinions on the subject.

You are right. I went over to their page to poke around for a second because they are an amusing bunch at times, especially in their hate towards all things SMU. They like the PB hire almost as much as they hate the Tre Siggers transfer.

PB is a decent DC. Not a good HC. PB has been at a couple of practices over the SD years. Not and never would be a fit with Sonny. I personally like Phil and have visited with him on several occasions since he left SMU. His style is old school and in your effing face. Not PC. But I like this hire for unt.
