Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignI say straight up, almost a traditional peace sign…not a fan of the curved, droopy ears…what say you?
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand Sign
Definitely. The proliferation of the flaccid pony ears needs to be stopped! Shake It Off Moody
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignVERY slight bend is correct. Too much and it looks weak and frog like. Too straight and it is goofy.
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand Sign
100%
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignGostangs has got it right - the curved droopy ears started after the Death Penalty
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignAs a student athlete I was taught that they do bend.
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignI always assumed slightly bent made sense because it represent a rearing pony’s legs
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignThat says once they brought it back that it changed to do it bent to represent perunas slightly bent ears
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignRight but it started strait.
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignSlightly bent. Not droopy.
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignA picture of G. Turner and wife on Instagram prompted my question, which has been bubbling awhile...Turner needs to straighten em up a bit, imho. But, certainly understand the slight bend...
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand Sign
If you want to call them pony ears they are slightly bent. If you want to call it the victory sign then straight (USC has that as their sign). This tradition was modified over 50 years ago. So unless you are in your 80s or 90s it should be slightly bent. I think most on this board are probably in their 60s or younger.
Re: Settle a Debate: Proper Pony Ears Hand SignIt’s not victory sign vs. slightly bent. It’s the latter vs. droopy.
