From Saturday Down South quoting Dave W: "several Big 12 schools are already making plans to join other conferences in the future. He said Oklahoma State and Kansas State will join the Pac-12, West Virginia will join the ACC and Kansas and Iowa State will join the Big Ten."

I always thought that WV would go to ACC and that Big 10 would pick up Kansas and ISU. The OSU and KSU move sounds unlikely. But who knows?

Wannstedt has never been the sharpest knife in the drawer.

So only the Texas schools would be left out. I'd be good with adding those 3 to the AAC. I don't see it happening, but I'd be good with it. If we can add BYU and Boise State that would be even better. Simply move Navy to the East division.

Well, in fairness, all he said is that those schools are “making plans.” I can make plans to watch SMU v Duke in this year’s CFB championship game, but that won’t cause it to happen. And the ACC is not taking WVU. Probably ever but certainly not with 15 full members and ND hanging out there.

Anyone who predicts K State to the PAC doesn't have any real information.

WVU should play as an independent in football and join the Big East in all other sports.

West Virginia isn't a great fit for the Big East either. They only joined the basketball schools in 1995 so it's not the same as UConn in terms of endearment and they don't have the same elite level of performance that UConn has. Also, UConn is solid academically which West Virginia is not. West Virginia belongs in either the ACC or AAC.

I like this setup, with the exception of Baylor. I hate Baylor and hope they get relegated to the scorched earth they deserve.
