The WVU President stating that he intends to gum up the works on playoff expansion is the biggest recent threat. Why he would do so given the newly reduced state of the Not-Big Not-Twelve is very, very unclear.

Keeping the current system makes no sense to anyone. Today, the SEC usually has two teams. What if that becomes 3? 4? Everyone will approve because it means more money for everyone.
