BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AAC)https://www.star-telegram.com/sports/ar ... 13023.html
https://247sports.com/Article/Big-12-ta ... 170619098/ BOISE and MEMPHIS are next to go to Big 12. It is all but a done deal. Big 12 is gonna wait a few months to announce but they have already been informed that they are next. Big 12 will then stop at 14 teams. Reason they are taking 2 more teams is because TCU and HOUSTON will be leaving for the PAC 12. They are next to be invited to the PAC. PAC wants to be in two big Texas cities. You can say all you want about what those 2 schools bring or don't bring to the PAC but the PAC wants 2 schools that are located in Dallas and Houston. OREGON, UCLA, CAL, WASHINGTON and STANFORD are violently against TTECH and OKIE STATE. The reason is because they don't want to travel to backwater towns like Lubbock and Stillwater. They have to do that already with WASHINGTON ST (Pullman), and OREGON ST (Corvallis) and they don't want any more travel nightmares like that with new schools. They also don't believe Lubbock and Stillwater are big recruiting areas. They also HATE TTECH's football program as the Big 12 bottom feeder. OKIE ST has a good football program but not enough to trump being in a backwater town somewhere in bumphucccckkk Oklahoma. When TCU and HOUSTON leave for the PAC 12 then the Big 12 will be back down to 12 schools if they have already taken BOISE and MEMPHIS which is expected within the next 6 months.
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACIf the PAC 12 values Dallas and Houston markets, media and recruiting, as well as academics as they profess, then Rice and SMU would makes sense. With a PAC 12 badge, Rice would recruit itself into contention and take advantage of their large stadium. SMU would immediately expand Ford, while being competitive in all sports.

Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACRICE and SMU aren't P5 teams and didn't win the ROSE BOWL.
TCU has an excellent P5 football program and is 10-0 vs PAC teams. TCU would probably win the PAC 12 Championship if they were in that League and the PAC knows it. At the very least TCU would be competitive with OREGON (who TCU beat just a few years ago in a nationally televised Bowl Game). RICE and SMU are not 10-0 vs anyone much less PAC teams. RICE and SMU would be bottom feeders in the PAC. PAC isn't taking any potential bottom feeders from the Big 12 (TTECH) much less potential bottom feeders who would come from the AAC or any other G5 Conference. PAC 12 wants a P5 team located in DFW area and HOUSTON area. And they have to be schools with bigtime potential (HOUSTON) or a school that has proven itself vs PAC teams (TCU) and is an elite team in their current P5 Conference (TCU). In recent years TCU has beaten (and PAC 12 has taken full notice of this) the following teams - WISCONSIN In ROSE BOWL (right in the midst of PAC 12 territory) Numerous wins in the FIESTA BOWL (in Phoenix PAC 12 territory) Numerous wins in the POINSETTIA BOWL (in San Diego in PAC 12 territory) STANFORD (twice) OREGON (once) OREGON ST (once) CAL (twice) etc Nice try but no prize !!
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACPac 12 already turned up their nose at the Big XII toaster leavings. Your new conference is no better than any other G5 conference. Welcome to our world again.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACYes - Houston is going to pay exit fees twice for two different conferences - that makes sense.

Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AAC
I guess if it happened fast enough they wouldnt have paid the AAC exit fees yet, and could just rescind their acceptance to the Big12 and got to Pac12. Like TCU did to the BigEast to go to the Big12.
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACWhen was the last time TCU was an elite team in a Power conference? The Big 12 without UT and OU may no longer be considered a Power conference.

Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AAC
WHOA!! not so fast. If cougar high has already send their letter notifying AAC that they are leaving then it makes no difference what they do. They would still need pay the the exit fee plus huge penalties if they leave before the 27 months before the AAC received their letter. What would happen with them and the little8 would depend on any decisions made by what little8 and there would likely be some type of penalty.
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AAC
While this whole topic is nonsense and he's trying to rile us up, the 4 teams signed an agreement with Big12 with regards to membership. It's binding where the big 12 can't rescind nor can the 4 jump somewhere else. I think TCU had to pay for canceling the big east. Insert "this is fine" GIF
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AAC
And TCU easily did so because Big XII $ > Big East $ > MWC $. Same would be true of PAC [#] $ versus Big XII $ for UH. Not that I’m buying this Startlegram story as absolutely true.
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACZactly Dukie. This is just a good old fashion rivalry rile up before the game. Love it btw. They're tired of us sizzling frog legs over here.

Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACWell........
Correct me if I am wrong but TCU finished # 2 in the nation in 2014 ? And has been a Top 10 team twice in last 10 yrs ? And....has won the Rose Bowl ? And has won multiple other Bowl games including defeating OREGON in the Alamo Bowl and whipping Georgia in a Bowl game. What other Big 12 team not named OKLAHOMA can say that. So yes...TCU is an elite Power 5 Conf team. These are Power 5 teams that TCU has beaten in recent years: GEORGIA OREGON OREGON ST STANFORD (twice) TEXAS (7 times) (Texas is 2-7 vs TCU in the Big 12) CAL (twice) VIRGINIA (twice) CLEMSON UTAH (twice) BYU (twice) (now a P 5 team in the Big 12) NORTHWESTERN (twice) ARKANSAS WISCONSIN (beat them in the Rose Bowl Game when they were Big 10 Champions) TCU is 10-0 vs PAC 12 teams. Please name any other team in the nation that can say that. I will hang up and listen.
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACA PAC 12 AD has already stated that ACADEMICS and RELIGION are not players for new added teams in the PAC 12.
And.....the PAC 12 DID NOT say they would never expand. They said they wouldn't expand "NOW - BUT WE ARE LEAVING THE DOOR OPEN FOR POSSIBLE FUTURE EXPANSION LATER". The 2 teams they want are TCU and HOUSTON.....but later. What most of you on here do not know and are not aware of is that there is a bloc of teams pushing very hard for TCU. (Oregon, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Cal, and Utah). They also want HOUSTON (easy travel for their Olympic sport teams and also in rich recruiting areas, and also in major TV markets). That same bloc is violently against the bottom feeder TTECH for a multitude of reasons including nightmarish travel to out of the way Lubbock and bottom feeder status in Big 12 football.
Re: BOISE and MEMPHIS to the new Big12 (Boise won't join AACYou are aware that all the Power 5 Commissioners have said that the Big 12 will retain its POWER 5 status -AND - an automatic Power 5 Conference Playoff berth if CFP expands - with the addition of UCF, BYU, UC, and UH, right ? You did see that right ? Gosh I hate to burst your bubble since you are so determined to push your (ridiculous) agenda but you need to read more. Enjoy the game Saturday ! You will see a lot of P 5 and future NFL talent on that field this year. ENJOY !!
