As TCU guy - I now leave in peace - but with last thoughts

****Rivalry notwithstanding, SMU really is an excellent University and I miss those old days with Chuck Hixson (SMU) and Norm Buliach (TCU) and Steve Judy (TCU) and the fabulous and great Jerry LeVias (SMU) prior to that. I DO NOT respect the Pony Express years and I know they were exciting to Schmoo people but Craig James gives the impression of being really dishonest (saying he doesn't recall if he got paid to play at Schmmoo) - so it is hard to respect anything about those teams. We suspect Dickerson got paid megabucks too so that team was probably real dirty. Real real dirty. Other SWC teams were dirty too but we Frogs don't respect any of them either including the TCU team that got caught in 1984. A&M was probably the biggest cheaters of all but they never won anything so nobody cared very much. If you want anyone but Schmoo people to respect Pony Excess Teams - we can't do it - because you won lots of games by cheating. Yes everyone else was cheating too - but you guys won. Don't expect anyone to respect your great Pony Excess seasons when you cheated. Had A&M won and got caught cheating then nobody would have respected those wins either. TCU got caught cheating too but wasn't winning so nobody really cared much. No TCU fans asked anybody to respect the wins TCU got that year and TCU fans don't brag about those years.

****SMU has really come along well after the DP. Everyone respects that greatly especially TCU folks.

****Sonny is a really great guy and everyone at TCU loves the guy from when he was here - and - he is an outstanding coach and a very smart guy. You guys are lucky to have him. Hope you guys and Sonny do well - after Saturday.

****SMU grads in my experience are exceptional people who are extremely smart, ambitious and very high achievers. Very impressive people. Every single SMU grad I have run across (with no exception) has been top notch !

****If there was someway TCU people could wave a magic wand and put 45,000 folks in the stands at Ford Stadium every game, and then wave it again and make SMU undefeated - even with all the banter - TCU people would want SMU in the Big 12. Lots of history together and its a LOVE/HATE relationship when we meet for games - but TCU needs SMU. The history is really special from decades ago and TCU has always respected and appreciated that history.
