Iron skillet thoughts - till JasonB posts

Amazing performance especially in the second half,, Smu attendance pathetic for this team, Bentley, Grey, Levelston and Coxe you are the callouts. Plenty of other but honestly mordecai probably had a bad game but was still decent.

Comments from the game replay:

1st quarter, Roger safety breaking up td and then missed fG negated mordecai interception

Danny gray WR in first quarter with mordecai

2nd quarter critical missed throw by Duggan (what I've been saying)

Coxe with sack in 2nd quarter (21-21) leads to false start and stalls drive, Issac with almost interception, forcing tcu to punt

Huge catch by Bentley on 3rd down end 2nd quarter for first down to keep drive going

Bentley with huge 2 1st down runs

4th down interception not mordecai fault but made sense why Dykes went for it

2nd half start, penalty to set tcu back and fumble created by coxe levelston arguably changed the game forever

Smu got robbed when Evans hit the 50 and review says he was inbounds. That was BS. (13:20)

3rd down by Gray to keep the drive alive after the field goal was huge which allowed Bentley to make big runs and a rice touchdown

3rd quarter 7:01, how the F was that not a fumble. These zebras did everything they could to help tcu.

Duggan shot himself with the fumble but didn't recover it but glad to see the defense attacking him which then led to the 4th and 1 stop that was glorious and should be OK espn top 10

Mordecai two real interceptions were gut punches but the 3rd quarter on really killed the drive but thankfully this team is mature and keeps their cool and forcing the field goal for tcu was what was allowed the victory to smu. Tcu burning a timeout was greatness.

The overturn (absolutely deserving) Kerley TD sealed the game. I breathed easily at the point seeing how the defense was doing. Amazing catch and f-ing refs. Are those are garbage refs?

I did think we got too conservative at the end but it led us to having the ball and winning.

I thought the game had an excellent flow. Second half the announcers repeated several times how TCU seemed to play like they had given up. I think they were just worn out from being manhandled. Both the offensive and defensive lines overpowered TCU! It also seemed to me the offense were running more slant plays perhaps from scouting reports. But, I was SO impressed with the holds the O line were creating. I mentioned on another post "my sister could have ran through some of those holes" (and she can't run - can't walk very well). On defense TCU is known for their rushing game. Our defense did much better than they (TCU) thought SMU could do. Second half was ALL SMU. I wouldn't change a thing - only have praise!

Jason if you are reading, how could they ruled the tcu receiver didn't have possession + fumbled?

My note in the paragraph that I'm referencing drove the announcers mad:

"3rd quarter 7:01, how the F was that not a fumble. These zebras did everything they could to help tcu."

I'd also like an explanation for what happened at 1:05. The replay could not have been any clearer.

IMHO I thought it was a great play regardless by Massey, but yeah I thought it was two steps and a fumble. I can understand, though, if it was called incomplete on the field not having enough evidence to overturn it.

Much worse was the clear step out of bounds on a run by Evans that they actually reviewed and didn't overturn. That was nuts.
