Apparently he's now bent because SMU football social media produced a post that included a song written and/or performed by Patterson (I saw it earlier today, but can't find it now). His comment:

"They hate you cause they take a song you wrote about COVID and getting back to families and they make fun of you. If I had the time, I'd go out and get all the copyright laws and I'd get all over their [deleted] but I've got Longhorns on my mind right now. Not them. I'm glad they keep substantiating our existence of where we're at and how we do things."

But clearly he's thinking about Saturday's game with Texas ... right?

he is pretty much repeating "take a step back" over and over.

Patterson is a ridiculously self important person who is clearly unhinged. I had hoped that his team would beat Texas but it will be up to the players to make it happen without any positive input from their head coach.

If a college head football coach is going to put a song on social media he/she would be an idiot to think some other school isn't going to make fun of it!

This isn't the first time fatterson has made unsubstantiated claims. Several years ago after a high scoring (61-58 bu-tcu) game, he claimed one of the bu players came up and spit in his face. Video afterwards showed the kid coming up and patting him on the back, but I don't think he ever backed down from his claim or apologized.

Oh yeah it was a whole big thing. To be fair to CGP, he usually does have his team play well vs BU no matter what the records are for the two teams.

This guy is seriously unhinged. He's becoming a cartoon villain obsessed with all things SMU. It is unwise of him not to retract his accusation about the Coach Kill incident, especially where there is conclusive video evidence that no SMU player was involved. A few more of these shenanigans and he'll be the laughingstock of Texas football.

My UT friends are laughing about this, and have asked that we keep Patterson and the Lizards occupied through Saturday.
