Re: AP Poll: SMU #24SMU #24 in Coaches Poll, too
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24UT gets what it wants but I think it's for the Red River rivalry to hype it up. If they lose, they're out of it.

Re: AP Poll: SMU #24I'm fine with UT being in the top 25, and I say they beat OU this weekend, for good or for bad.
But this will be another weekend where a BUNCH of teams ahead of us are going to lose, so if we are able to pull out a win this weekend expect us to move into the top 20 regardless of the poll.
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24Hard to imagine Texas beating OU, and I hope the Sooners win by 80.
More than anything, if SMU beats Navy - to be bowl-eligible by Oct. 9 - I won't care even a little about OU/UT I'm a Pony, and I'm a PonyFan!
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24Wondering where SMU will land…
#1, 4, 10, 13, 18 and 21 lose. A&M will probably end up in top 10. Boise will probably leap frog SMU as well. …but likely stay the same. Doesn’t really matter much. I just like seeing SMU in the ticker. Speaking of ticker, SMU was a trivia question on the ticker during College Gameday. Which Texas team has the most wins since 2019?SMU with 22!
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24I'm predicting us to move #21 with UT going to #25, #24 A&M, #23 Arkansas and #22 BYU. Just my guesses.

Re: AP Poll: SMU #24Aggie will jump us by beating #1. We stay in 20s. For now.
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24
You're probably right but with two losses they can't go too high. Insert "this is fine" GIF
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24SMU up to # 23 in coaches poll after Auburn and Texas drop out of Top 25

Re: AP Poll: SMU #24And 23 in the AP poll. Aggies 21, Texas 25.
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24
I think if you give up 21 points and fall in an embarrassing way like that you shouldn't be in the top 25. Insert "this is fine" GIF
Re: AP Poll: SMU #24
The voters are choosing to see that game as "OU fixed their QB issues and are a top team like we expected coming into the season" rather than "UT choked". Unfortunately, the rest of the Big 12 is weak enough I don't think that observation will be proven wrong. Baylor and OSU are the upset opportunities, but now that both are ranked, if they beat UT or OU it will just promote their position more than send UT or OU tumbling down.
