Do they stay or bolt, especially PS, when Sonny makes his "moving on, family tradition, Dad's legacy" speech in a couple of weeks?

stays we always draw NFL caliber receivers.
after watching the Illinois/Penn State 9 overtimes, those guys were dropping passes over and over.
their inability to catch a ball was unbelievable. we are used to guys that can catch the ball.

It really depends on the replacement if Sonny were to go. Billy Embody on his podcast thinks Sonny will stay and SMU will do right through, supposedly confirmed, an extension being worked through by SMU.

I think, though if it happens that SD is out and we get a good replacement, they will stay because they don't have to worry about competition, breaking relationships with those they've already formed bonds here and taking a weaker degree.

If SD leaves it is going to be because he lost faith in the vision of SMU. And that is going to cost us the higher end recruits as well.

This is a pointless thread that may or may not be trolling but should be deleted regardless.

Ive heard they are all going to leave and they will all take a brick from the IPF so that it falls down and one of the bricks winked at me...

The question always becomes does a recruit follow a coaching staff or do they want to be and play at SMU. Preston Stone grew up wanting to play for SMU and there will always be guys who want to be part of building a program so I'm not overly concerned about our being able to compete in the AAC going forward. The vast majority of college football players will never play professionally so just have to hope that degree from SMU and the connections that can be made are highly valued

Agree. Why not post about Sonny's replacement's replacement, since whoever comes in will leave for another opportunity or be fired.

This focus on what may or may not happen is inherently negative, when we know nothing except endless speculation.

The alternative is assuming Sonny is committed and will stay (unless he doesn't)

1) Put them on a bus and drive them to Lubbock - I bet half will say - "Oh Hell No!" by the time they get to Seymore. The rest will cave by Benjamin.
2) Show Preston the Ben Hicks story.
