Injury update

Sonny Dykes said on his show Monday that:

• Alan Ali has a sprained MCL, will probably be out 2-3 weeks, hopefully should be back for the last couple of games, ready to go….

• Ulysses Bentley reinsured his ankle — probably another separate injury, sprained in a different place when someone fell across the ankle

• No real update on Isaiah Nwokobia, other than to say his hamstring "kind of gave out on him" while defending Houston's first touchdown

That sucks (all the above). Though it sounds like Memphis is banged up a bit too.

That really sucks. We clearly didn't have the depth to handle these losses.

We will win more games even with these people out. WE are good. WE just need to play like it.

ICE COLD start last week. Like Boca Bowl.

It's that time of year that a team's depth is critical to having a strong finish. SMU's depth has improved but has it improved enough? We fine out in the next 2 weeks. Have to win at least one of the next two.

I worry that Bentley's injury is one of those that won't really heal until the offseason when he can stay off it for a long time.

When Bentley went down again last week, it felt like Roberson's injuries the last two years...we never quite had the same explosiveness to close out the schedule. Our depth this year is significantly better though! Personally, I think we will come out motivated, strong and the Memphis game won't be close.

I hope so but I don't see this team beating anyone on the road comfortably
