DickersonOn a more positive note, didn't Eric Dickerson look great yesterday? Should have been in the College HOF earlier. I always thought that he would have won the Heisman had he played at UT or OU. But it was actually fortunate that he split so much time with James. He went into the pros healthy and ready for his HOF career in the NFL. Dickerson, James, McIlhenny and that whole bunch in the early 80's let me have the experience of cheering for a national powerhouse team capable of beating the best of them. Great fun and great memories.
Re: DickersonAmen to all that. I was there for most of the Pony Express games. Wonderful times!
Long live Inez Perez!
Re: Dickersondid you catch his comment?
RECRUITING IS THE KEY to continued success...when all the emotion of the first quarter is over and someone hits you in the mouth, the talent usually tells for the next three quarters. stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: DickersonI was there for the home games with two of my kids. Hated Tx. stadium, you could have a good crowd (for SMU) and the place still looked empty.
Re: DickersonA great man - a tremendous credit to and ambassador for SMU.
A long tradition of existence.
Re: DickersonHe was really good on the Facebook Live pre-game show, too ... and yes, he reiterated the recruiting focus. He said a couple of times "this team is just a few players away" from that next step up the ladder.
PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.

Re: Dickerson
Started attending games at the Cotton Bowl when Meyer was still building the juggernaut. We used to pick up some cool swag that Potts and Brad Thomas promoted. One of my faves was the Mountain Dew T-shirt for Mustang Mania with "Just Dew it" silk-screened. Now where did that go to? The Sun Rises in St. Simons!
Re: DickersonDickerson is one of our best living alums and a genuine soul. Hoping he gets close to the new coaching staff. Anytime he's on the Hilltop is special.
