New OC Casey Woods seems to be embracing the rivalry before experiencing it first-hand:

"Blessed and Honored to be a Part of the developing relationship between this Unforgettable city and World-class University.
Saddle up…Beat TCU!#PonyUpDallas"

That's cool. It will be fun to beat ...wait for it ... "DFW's Big 12 Team."

As time goes by an I see more things like this I'm inclined to believe SD was always a tcu/cow turd kinda guy. I think he legitimately wants the fw/tcu environment/life style over SMU and Big D. So F*CK him!

On another note, our new coaching staff is looking amazing, really looking forward to how the roster develops over the next few years before they all get signed away.

The guy spent enough time in Lubbock to have become a "country boy" so no surprise he would prefer Cowtown to Big D. I think it will just make the rivalry more intense.

Like the new staff. Sonny leaving my turn out to be a benefit long term. Going to TCU is sleezy. Anywhere else would have been fine. But if you're offered a P5 job, they only come around every so often, I can understand his desire to take it. If he loses to us or has a losing Big XII record (altogther possible), he will not have a long leash.

Short hand for:
Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex watered down P5 & 1/2 cellar dwelling Big 12 (we've had problems counting but think we've got it right now) team.
