Just a couple of months after getting hired at TCU, former SMU defensive line coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe bolts
to become outside linebackers coach at Georgia.

I like what this says about SMU football more than I care to concern myself with impacts to another program’s coaching staff stability.
Goes to show how time served as an SMU coach is an amazingly stronger launching pad now than it has been over the past 3 decades. Coach at national championship team the very next season after being at SMU.
Not overlooking your real point about the defection’s impact on Coach Dykes. But he’s a realist and he knows team and program success will create demand for members of his staff.

Chidera also knows that success breeds opportunity. Better to jump now after a good run at SMU than have your stock fall after several bad seasons at toad tech.

Nope....personally, I want Ricker to stay at tcu. For four years at SMU, he was the one that evaluated, recruited and was responsible for developing said talent. In his fourth season, for the most part, we were still putting duct tape on Chad Morris recruits. Once the starters were established, the backups appeared to just accept their role and punch a time clock at practice...development was minimal to non existent. I'm very interested to see what Garin Justice can do.

Talk about a step up. That would really say something about the guy if he actually gets that job

Some recruits reportedly flipped from SMU to TCU because of their relationships with Samples, right? If Samples bolts for Los Angeles, I wonder if any recruits might remember what they originally liked about SMU and flip back.

Ha, Ha....It appears that Sonny has just been "Dyke'd" once his lead Recruiter got a good look at TCU and left for greener pastures...
