If Mordecai wins the starting job, hopefully Stone is as committed to Lashlee as he sounds.
But I bet they both play.

Great interview.

I think Lashlee's most important item of business is to keep Stone here and happy. Stone could be a program changer.

I was not able to watch SMU football much last year, so I saw even less of PS than most posters here. What I saw, however, was a poised QB who read the field well and was decisive. He threw a few strikes that were impressive. However, one of the most notable plays to me at least, was a quick decision to throw at a RB's feet when the OL blew up. This guy has it and I hope to see a lot more of him in 2022-23.

I like TM but I just believe that PS is a more instinctive QB with a better arm. I am curious to see how or whether TM improves this year under the new staff.

In any event, we are lucky to have these guys and what appears to be a very talented receiving corps.

You'd have to think Sonny would want either in FW

I would not be surprised to see Lashlee go with the "hot hand" and see both Tanner and Preston play this year. I think Tanner has 2 more years of eligibility (assuming the Covid bonus year) so if he's not NFL material, there is certainly the possibility Sonny will try to lure him away if nobody asserts himself and takes over the QB role at TCU, especially if Tanner finds himself sharing time with Preston.
