Dang! And I heard a far less substantiated rumor about ACC inclusion this morning.

SMU and SDSU -- Pac 12 is mentioned in the Jon Wilner tweet at the end of this article.

Most times you hear that it will be between option x and option y, a decision’s already been made. I can see them floating Fresno just to make locals happy - but then going with us “based on academics.”

By the way, my understanding is the sole result of the B12/PAC12 talks was the agreement not to raid each other. That leaves the PAC-12 looking at us vs. a Houston or a TCU.

Hopefully we have all the right people working behind the scenes on this including the Dallas Mayor's office.

Even if it does fall apart down the road, it would be huge to get and accept the invite now.

Yes it would. And there's zero chance they're seriously going to add Fresno State. Hell of a program over the years, tho the best years are receding fast in the rear view. But zero chance.

If any truth to PAC 12 rumors, then maybe such talks spur ACC to action. Personally, I think we are a better fit for ACC - in all sports!

It's great both conferences want us.

That's the thing about rumors: there can be more than one, and no assurance which (if either) is true.

Speaking of rumors, there was talk yesterday that Arizona is about to announce a move to the Big 12.

Now the Zona AD says such talk is premature.

I hope they don’t look at our attendance numbers. This alone may seal our fate.

If Rutgers got a B1G invite then anything is possible.

You can bet both Arizona schools will bolt from the pac 12 the 1st chance they get. It's better to look East.

I really do think you’re a plant. I went back and looked through your posts and you’ve never said a single positive thing about SMU. Zero, zilch, nada.

While I think we'd all love the ACC over the Pac12, if for anything just for the times themselves for all sports, we literally need to take what we can get at this point. Even if Arizona schools do bolt, I'd still feel better about being in the Pac 12 without them than being in the conference we're currently in.
